🏙️ What If a Roblox City Felt Truly Alive? (AI-Powered NPCs + Realism) - What is your opinion about our early developments?

At Ultray Studios, we’re on a mission to redefine gaming by pushing the boundaries of realism and immersion. Our upcoming game puts AI-powered NPCs at the heart of the experience, creating a vibrant, dynamic city that feels truly alive.

Imagine interacting with advanced tools and systems—like operating medical monitors inspired by real-world technology from leading companies such as Stryker. Whether you’re managing a busy hospital, running your own business, or exploring the intricacies of city life, every detail is designed to elevate your gaming experience.

This is where innovation meets reality, and the city becomes yours to shape.

Our game is inspired by the Belgian city: Antwerp.

We are currently with 2 main developers. One programmer and one world builder. As this is a very large project, we can off course benefit from more development staff. If interested, please contact us in our Discord server. We pay heavy attention to a FAIR distribution of any revenue, but we don’ty have funds to payout at this stage, since we haven’t earned any revenue!

Please share your opinion about our project, which is currently in early stages of development. Do you see any potential in this?

If you want to know even more, you’re free to join our community (Discord on Group): Ultray Studios - Roblox

Hmm… I’m just curious how this would turn out.

Granted, it seems interesting. But if you’re going for full AI powered NPCs, using just text generation is probably not enough to make it feel “immersive”.

I do have a couple of resources for you to have a look at to increase the realism potential since I really want to see it happening.

You can have a look at this post here:

If you really want more high-value use cases for AI, I recommend you have a look at these tutorials here.

Thank you very much for these useful resources! We’ll make sure to benefit from those while we continue to work on our Core AI/NPC system.

using ai makes ur game 13+ and if a new law in the UK passes it will make your game 17+ though..

Wouldn’t this make nearly every game 17+ if that happened then?

I believe it is using ai for procedural generation and not using ai for models, sounds, whatnot that were already checked by developers.

First of all, can the corp speak it just makes your studio seem out of touch

Secondly, this looks really interesting and I can’t wait to play it

generative ai that the player interacts with.

pathfinding and stuff isnt ai

I never used this but i think you could use the Text-To-Speech api to get the npc’s to speak
There are also different voices if you look at its documentation
