I made a Realistic Parking Garage, and it looks really nice, but the only problem is that it has over 1 million vertices. Is this a problem, or is it not really a big deal?
(give optimization tips)
My first instincts are:
Try making everything flat if possible
I don’t know, but your pillars look like the cracks are modeled instead of a texture, so if it’s not a texture, then that could be optimized.
Second, I would try to optimise for LoD? (I think Roblox has this, your triangle and vertices count is not that obvious as to whether it’s your TOTAL or the amount being renderered right now)
1 million vertices are not that bad for a quality like this, but it could be optimized
Not sure, sorry if some of my tips are inaccurate or wrong.
On the side here, I genuinely thought it was a real picture of a parking garage. I had to do a triple-take due to the quality of it, lol!
Epic work though.
Nice work! Try looking for curves and circular objects since those take a lot of Tris, you can simplify them into less triangles…
Like what the others said, try making the cracks on the walls textures instead of like modeled in.
Last thing is probably on the roof, if there are lots of stuff there you might consider removing some.
Still, very nice and realistic work! Keep going! ![]()
It’s all good, I guess that kind of helped a bit, thanks for the feedback though!
Yeah, they are actually textures, and they are pbr rendered textures, BUT it makes me feel better about how they look. I definitely could remove some things, but hey I really appreciate that!
