Imgur, Reddit, and the like have sets of amusing commandments posted every now and then, and with the vast influx of new members, it seemed like the perfect time to not only post for the sake of amusement, but compile common courtesies all in one place for the unaware.
[ul]
[li]Thou shall not include hyperlinks to images in thy posts. Embed images directly into thy post with the [ img ] tags. If thou cannot embed images provided by thy image capture software, thou shall reconsider thy choice of software.[/li]
[li]Thou shall not use obnoxious avatars. Thou ugly representation of thyself shall be sent to the pits of not-on-my-screen by AdBlock.[/li]
[li]Thou shall correctly use forum sections instead of throwing thy every post into the lounge.[/li]
[li]Thou shall not use the swag emote in thy every post.[/li]
[li]Thou shall not offer assistance on help requests threads with only thy guess.[/li]
[li]Thou shall not post in Moderation Review Requests until thou hast attempted re-uploading with a pixel changed at least once.[/li]
[li]Thou shall leak RBXDev updates only if thy wish is to be cleaved in four by Sorcus.[/li]
[li]Thou shall not nominate thy friend for the sake of being thy friend.[/li]
[li]Thou shall not whine about bugs without first supplying a repro.[/li]
[li]Thou shall take the time and thought to not sound like an eight-year-old in thy posts.[/li]

The part about hyperlinking images isn’t true. If you have a lot or large images, you should hyperlink them instead. Spoilertags have no effect on whether the images are downloaded, so people with very slow connections will lag regardless.
People don’t seem to be hyperlinking for that reason.
etc
All of those are recent too. People typically don’t embed images when they’re cursed with the plague of the earth, gyazo, which is why I hinted at switching to a different image capture software since gyazo is crap.
