My game Stream A Mukbang! was taken down about a week ago for “Misusing Roblox’s Systems”
After reviewing the game carefully, I believe the cause is my in-game chat system. Players can view other players’ streams and send messages through a UI textbox that displays on the streamer’s screen, but I never added a check to confirm both players are in the same age group. (The textbox is pre-populated with fake bot messages for visual effect.)
This is an easy fix: restrict chat to players in the same age group as the streamer they’re viewing. The problem is that I can’t implement it, because the place is locked as shown below:
I submitted an appeal through the Violations & Appeals portal (it shows two identical violations, which I don’t understand) and asked what specifically broke the rules. The appeal was declined with no explanation, and I still can’t edit the game.
I’ve also sent an email to support via Roblox Support but it has been a week with no reply.
This was my first successful game reaching 10k+ CCU and having content creators playing it, I’d like to get in a compliant state to have this resolved as soon as possible.
What should I do? I can’t unlock the game without a successful appeal, and I can’t demonstrate a fix without being able to edit the game.
Oh shoot I played this game recently. This really sucks, maybe have ai write up an appeal text that says things about upgrading this to a higher level and things to make it sound intense. This is really all you can do for now, might as well fight ai with ai.

Realitiy is that if you already tried with Roblox support and it didnt work, youre in a bad spot because the AI will keep pushing against you and a real human review, even for a game of that scale, is unlikely to come.
Id like to actually give you useful info, but all I can do is hope that you get lucky. AI moderation is the downfall of this platform

this is your sign to make your own original ideas!! anyways though, when this happened to me i downloaded a copy of the place opened it and published it onto the game and it would let me edit it.
damn that sucks. try to get in contact with devrel i heard they’re helpful. maybe try to find someone who’d be willing to put you in a gc with them on discord
