Using the popular 6 stud gauge as a base and some math done by space, this is a too scale narrow gauge robloxian locomotive.

She looks beautiful.
Wow.
makes some of the other locomotives out there look like a train wreck in comparison.
You conducted that reply beautifully.
I love those. It’s a really nice touch.
Can I drive it?
Eventually, Spacek is scripting is to be operable and we’ll release it as a free model.
That is a sweet locomotive. Well done! Did you model the livery off of any historical engine?
The livery is Baldwin locomotive works “Style 1” striping with a freight locomotive finish. It was common paint scheme on Baldwin locomotives of the era.
Ah cool! I figured you’d put some research into it that’s why I asked
Sweet, I thought it might have been based on the “Empire” on display in the California State Railroad Museum but the drive wheel placement wes throwing me off, I should have just searched for Glenbook. Sadly, when I was at the Nevada Railroad Museum it was winter so most of the engines, including the Glenbrook, were in the roundhouse making it almost impossible to get a good shot of them.
I myself have a thing for the quirky small engines they used to use for logging or hauling ore from mines, like the narrow gauged 0-4-0 saddle tanks and the geared Shays. Maybe someday I’ll model one.
The Empire looks considerably like the Union Iron Works 2-6-0 (with the exception of the tender design). Inyo has a poll up for a locomotive to build next: x.com
If you are planning on building a shay (or other geared locomotive [or even a regular locomotive], if you can stand manipulating tables and CFrames), you will probably find this to be very useful:
Dude, you’ve done all the hard work! Maybe someday soon I’ll have the time to model Roaring Camp & Big Trees #1 “Dixiana” (my first love) on top of your work.
Progress: the locomotive is fully functional, with working pistons. The tender has not yet been converted to roll.
The place with the progress is here: SPACEKREADY LOCOMOTIVE WORKS - Roblox
Hm, not to like… derail the topic (heh) but.
is 6-stud really the popular option for trains? i thought people preferred either 8 or 4.
6 Studs is ever more growing popular and it is more in scale for a robloxian. Many places use it now.
Oh, neat.
i wonder who started to spread that idea around.
