Hi,
what I was looking for was where is the settings for on the emotes wheel, do you set what they are , or are they all random or something. I have looks through some of the scripts and not found it. I do not see it here either

  1. For the animated, why is there not a separate one , called Flipbook , and then all you have to do is say what grid size it is, like 10 x 10… ? (edit 6.8 I guess it is ok, but you have to know the image x y and cell count , but it might be nicer just to have a flippy setting…)

  2. also what is this thing, and why is it there?

  1. with the mouse wheel you can scroll through the different emote pages available… how is that done on a phone or console? (edit 7.8 also the RMB toggles through them)…

  2. can there be an option where the EffectSettings = {
    Effect = “Explosion”, is locked to the player? like if you are running fast , the explosion is not near the player, verses if the particleemitter was locked to part.. it would be always where the player is at..(edit looks like it emits above the players head.. might be nice if it was locked to the emote image area, perhaps slightly below it so the effect plays below the image , or in back of it.. depending on your camera angle… )

  1. I did show in the main post 3 times, it’s in FAQ section, ReplicatedStorage → Modules → Stickers. But if you are refering to the GUI look then it’s designed to be 6 segments, from a single image, if you want 8 or 4 you have to design an image by dividing a circle into equal segments
  2. No the local script is just setting up the GUI
  3. To make it simple I put all settings and list of stickers in a module called Stickers, Stickers alone is the entire module. I had to make the public system version different from the one used in game because the that one is more modular, which is too complex for this
  4. I did use StickerList, it’s in the image you showed. Stickers.StickerList[Name_Of_The_Sticket]. I have to define first to check for stickers. Otherwise there would be an error

It might be possible to add grid, but you need to enable HTTPS API to get the image size I think, which will slow down the loading time and possibly cause an error if the connection is not good or request limit is reached. You still have to add cell count because how would I tell where it ends? Not all GIFs can be made into an even grid, some cells might be blank. Unless you split them into even more images and combine them into a sequence. Now this is very very complicated

  7. There are buttons. The system was made with mobile in mind not PC as I am a mobile player. There are 2 video examples and one of them is on mobile
  8. No. This system is meant to be used like emotes between players. You cannot communicate without staying close, if you run then you’re most likely not in a situation where you can communicate. Explosions contain an anchored part, it’s not a good idea to unanchor and weld it to the character. Explosions also don’t move from what I know, explosion effect used here is an one-time thing it’s not the permanent aura effect you usually see in other games. Please kindly check the settings if you want to reposition it, once again, check FAQ. If you want aura type of effects then you will have to wait for a future update, although I will probably not because I don’t see a case where you want particle effects on a sticker all the time?
  9. Is the console keybind bad? I don’t play on console so I don’t really know. When I tried device emulation for console in the studio I just press the selection button to select and move through them

  • Added a search bar, you can type a text to search or a number to go to X page. It will search for the closest matching names, small typos or abbreviations still show results if matched. Clicking on the magnifying glass icon next to the search bar will enable advanced searching to include matching tags and descriptions

  • Added a Tags option and a CreateTags function to automatically add tags to stickers to help with searching. It might not be good performance wise but it only runs once when opening for the first time. Tags are split into predefined groups like “animals”, “happy”, & colors like “red”

  • Organized the client script for the wheel selection, optimized performance and only initializes when opened. Animated stickers on the selection wheel should stop playing when the GUI is closed now

  • Added UnlockAspectRatio option if you want a sticker to not have 1:1 (Square) size aspect ratio for whatever reason. It will look quite bad depending on the screen size btw

  • The Stickers module, aka the settings and sticker lists is now a package. Unfortunately, I still do not have the permission to share packages so it just exists there for easy updating

  • Updated EasySprite module to v1.3

  • Fixed an issue where a sticker (with Looped = false) would continue playing on top of another sticker after moving to another page

  • Added MirrorX (boolean) & MirrorY (boolean) options for SpriteSettings to flip the sticker horizontally or vertically

hi, if it is a package, then does that me we cannot override the code with things, because it is being required? like if I want to customize the ui, and what stickers it uses and number of of them ..

if yes, then can we get it in a .rbxl source code without a require?

You can just remove the package link inside the script because it’s just the Stickers module

  • Updated a bunch of stickers, now having more sounds and also fixed the Doomshroom sticker because the image is somehow broken after a Roblos update

  • Updated several stickers, also changed the Pizza sticker because I believe it could cause epilepsy issues with the flashing colors

  • New PreloadSounds (boolean) setting, enabled by default to preload sounds of visible sticker, only once

  • Updated the search bar, abbreviation searching is now locked behind the :mag: button as well to avoid confusions

  • Added :star: (Favorite) button, if datastore is enabled, it will replace the circle images and allow you to pick stickers that should always show up first, unless if they don’t match with what you’re searching

  • Added datastore and setttings for saving favorite stickers, personal settings and stats. It will only save when players are leaving/game is closing. Change Stickers.MaxFavoriteStickers to set a limit

  • FirstUse, LastUse & TotalUsed stats to help you keep track of sticket usage. This might be helpful if you cannot get enough feedback on this system in your game

  • Added extra :wastebasket: (Remove All) & :eye: (Hide All) buttons on top of the :mag: (Advanced Search) button. They also save as settings now, if saving is enabled

  • Now supports .extend() function from EasySprites, meaning you can merge multiple sprite sheets together in a single sequence. Simply put Sheet2 → Sheet3 → SheetX in a SpriteSetting

  • Added Reverse (Bounce back, rewind from the last frame to the first one after ending) & StartInReverse (Play in reverse) options for SpriteSettings

  • SpeedMultiplier setting should affect the animation speed in wheel selection preview, as well as sound and effect timing now

  • Updated and reorganized a bunch of stuff
