I want to ask other developers whether or not it’s a good time to sponsor your game around 4th of July or not. I was planning on sponsoring my game on the 3rd of July, but now that I think of it, are a lot of U.S robloxains not at their computers (because they are celebrating this holiday)? Or are they on hoping for a new hat or limited to come out? I am trying to figure out whether I should sponsor on the 3rd or not?
I guess many Americans will now play on their PCs, since it’s Summer. Of course, you can promote your game. You can also run advertisements. You can sponsor or advertise your game every day.
Well on the 4th of July people might be spending time with family doing activities and such, but due to COVID-19 pre-cautions people would probably spend there time at home on there PC so really it’s up to the player in question.
I think you should as I heard from a lot of people that 4th of July is a big celebration(I don’t live in America). Especially right now since everyone is stuck at home, you can’t really go outside and celebrate it.
I think you should also do a huge update for your game, like you could add some limited items or some codes because a lot of people get hyped for fourth of July and I have seen a lot of big games doing Fourth of July updates which get them a huge spike in player count.
I’m not sure, because a lot of developers might advertise on that day as well. I think it would only be worth it if you had a lot of robux, so that you could get the most impressions. I don’t think running a 25 robux ad would be worth it though since the others would probably be running ads at a higher budget.
Due to real world events (which I won’t say on this forum), I firmly believe that not a lot of people are going to be celebrating the 4th of July. I would think that a lot would be staying home on their PCs gaming away… but I’ll let you decide on that.
I think this is a good time to sponsor, since Covid-19 is still going on and people won’t be going to watch fireworks in large crowds anymore. People could be spending time on their PC or watching fireworks on their Television, also do a huge update for your game and release it on the 4th. It would bring a lot of attention to kids or adults (Teens too) who can’t gather in large crowds to watch the firework display.
Well, only 1 country celebrates the 4th of July I think. So that means loads of countries just live a normal day so I do not think it would matter that much.
I agree. It is important to keep in mind that not all Roblox players are from the U.S., and those players might not know why July 4th is important to some of us. I’m not sure that an event like this would be a good idea, but you can do whatever floats your boat.
Unless you’re bidding a lot, I would refrain from running ads and sponsorships on the 4th. Larger games will likely run their own ads on that day and if they’re high, will render yours close to useless.
