A recent change to `UIGradient` broke our UI elements

Currently, as of 10/1/26, an engine-side change to the UIGradient instance broke some of our UI elements.

We make use of UIGradient to render diagonal bars. These diagonals no longer render correctly. This break occurred some-time after September 7th, as the bars were rendering correctly prior to that date.

After the break:

To reproduce this issue:

  1. Open an empty baseplate in studio.

  2. Import BrokenUI.rbxm (10.6 KB) into StarterGui.

  3. Observe that the shown frame is a rectangle:

  4. Import FixedUI.rbxm (10.6 KB) into StarterGui.

  5. Observe that the frame is shown as sliced:

The difference between the broken frame and the properly sliced frame is in the UIGradient’s transparency numbersequence. I had to add 0.002 to the third entry’s timestamp to get the frame rendering correctly. Previosly, a time position of 0.501 worked. Now, it only works with a time position of 0.503 or greater.

Expected behavior

It is expected that the UI gradient would render as it had before

The change that caused this problem should be rolled back now, sorry for the issue!
