As a roblox player I think when we block a player it should block their avatar now how would this work? it’s pretty simple It should just grey out the avatar and remove all the accessories with it. why? Because I Have seen so much inappropriate avatars its mind blowing but mainly disgusting, like they shouldn’t even be on the platform Not that long ago did I see a player wear a Nazi
T shirt on someone actually Two people were wearing that t shirt!
so Roblox all you have to do is make the blocked players avatar grey
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my Roblox as a WHOLE and would be a big safety measure
Roblox could do : 1, make the blocked avatar a default avatar (bacon hair) 2, grey out the whole avatar
(not options for players but options roblox could do)
Literally every other platform similar to Roblox supports this functionality, Roblox just doesn’t care enough about your safety to bother implementing it (even though there are zillions of ways to implement this without interfering with anything…)
There’s potential issues with client-server desync, but if the only thing that the client sees if the classic noob, it shouldn’t be a problem (only body parts are replicated).
There’s probably some default they can do for games that insist on using Rthro (looks aggressively at Croydon Bus Simulator).
The core is that you see an inappropriate character and you shouldn’t. This feature would not change that.
Roblox needs to improve
how easy it is to report
how quickly reports can be assessed
how effectively moderation applies
As Roblox makes progress in each of these, you will encounter less inappropriate characters.
Simply blocking users to hide their characters might exacerbate the issue, if it leads to less reports or people use it as an excuse for Roblox not making the listed improvements. It would also affect experiences in ways that developers don’t expect.
being able to change someones avatar just whenever even if its client sided could break games. This is a cool idea on paper, but i dont see how they could achieve this in reality
Sería una buena idea. Sin embargo, Roblox ya restablece el avatar a un estado oscuro y transparente en la página del perfil del usuario. Dentro del juego, el resultado sería aproximadamente el siguiente:
