I’m a little upset that I cannot edit responses and thread posts I make, especially if I make a typo. With the exceptions of a post being deleted.

My guess is that nothing will happen until the staff gets around to reworking the forums. They already acknowledge how bad it is.
In such a large community editing posts would be a bad idea without certain measures in place. Users might offend another user then change the content which would make it a pain to moderate. One measure that might work is an algorithm such as Levenshtein distance which calculates how many changes have been made between two strings of characters. All ROBLOX would have to do is not allow too many changes to be made.
All they’d have to do is make it like StackExchange where you can view previous versions of the message. Moderating it won’t be difficult at all.
