Frankly, I find it embarrassing that Roblox has completely ignored this feature request for what will be 5 years in about a week from now. AvatarEditorService::PromptSetFavorite was added in v453 and that was released Oct. 2020, why is Roblox dragging their feet here?

I am doing the same using an AWS free tier Windows server. Quarter meg of RAM, with a quarter thread share.
There is some debate that Roblox is toying with the idea of discontinuing groups entirely, they said something to that effect in a recent RDC from what I’ve heard. If that is the case, that’d explain it.
Would literally cause a huge resurgence in community-based groups. Would be great.

They never said this, if anything, they said the opposite. They rebranded groups to “Communities” and plan to essentially revamp them with tons of new features. We already got the ability to ban users, and Community Forums are hopefully next. You can check the public roadmap to learn about some of the other things they’re working on.
At RDC 2021 Roblox actually announced that they were going to add an API to prompt users to join groups in-game, but this seems to have been delayed indefinitely and I have no idea why. Hopefully with the recent focus on Communities they’ll decide to pick this back up.

If they announced it, that’s fantastic for the purposes of developers who are focued on communities. It’s what I would call a “crucial feature” in the current era of Roblox, and I hope it’ll come in one of the upcoming feature waves.
I’ve been working with and on groups since 2018, ferrying the hordes into groups is very difficult. Especially mobile users, this prompt would be game changing.

As a developer, I am confused as to why I have to go onto a 2020 thread to request this feature that should have been added in 2018.
We can prompt purchases, but we can’t prompt joining a group?
Even though rewarding players for joining a group is wide-spread common practice?
