Ability to save your Avatar as an R15 version and an R6 version at once

As a Roblox user, I have played Roblox for a very long time and I love Making outfits. But there is one struggle I have had to face with Avatars, the switch between R15 and R6, a lot of times when I join an R6 game I accidentally have my R15 avatar on me, and then I look kind of like a Glitch without 3D clothing or custom UGC packages.

R15

R6

Solution: In the avatar creator, I would say just below the Accessory Adjustment tab, Put a tab which will be the R6/R15 viewer tab, and add two viewpoints, one will show your R15 Avatar, the other will show your R6 Avatar, and you have the ability to save your R15 Avatar into a tab, and then save your R6 Avatar into another, and you can save it into one and put it in one of your Avatar saves or just wear it! Thoughts? (This is my first Feature Request and Im so glad! :star_struck:)

This is actually a cool idea, but if I save an avatar will it save both the r15 and r6 avatars in the same slot

Yes, that’s what I’m thinking!

I think the upcoming “Avatar Switcher” feature is Roblox’s solution to this, so you can quickly switch avatars whenever you join a game that doesn’t support your current avatar.

Keep in mind that forced R6 isn’t the only avatar constraint you can encounter:

  • Some games allow R15 but disable avatar scaling.
  • Some games allow R15 but disable layered clothing.
  • Some games allow R15 but force the block body.
  • Some games force R6 and also force the block body.
  • etc.

I personally have to keep several different versions of my avatar to account for all of this.

Yeah, but it’s annoying to save a different version of the same avatar for a few games for me

In my opinion, the Avatar Switcher is not a valid solution.

  • It won’t really work properly in games that have resetting disabled (you’ll probably have to die manually to respawn and change avatars).
  • Having a lot of outfits will make the search time to find the one you want longer.
  • You won’t really be changing avatars that many times when playing a game. Having the ability to automatically switch to the desired avatar upon joining would be way more beneficial.

We should have the ability to automatically set avatar presets based on specific conditions such as layered clothing being enabled. This could exist at the same time as the Avatar Switcher in case you want to use a different avatar.
