Are they solely based off IP addresses? Or, have all the bans been from using shared email addresses, etc, not solely IP?

I guess what I’m tryna say is whether you can be banned from IP alone.

From all cases I’ve seen its based on the internet you’re using (I assume internets have IPs but I cant confirm that)
So if someone gets banned on the internet, everyone gets banned on the internet.

To answer you: I believe this is only for terminations and possibly for exploiters in the future. Roblox uses your account information determine if you ban evade such as the verified email and phone number
I believe they also recently added IP detection aswell. So if you match the email or IP of a terminated account then you will mostlikely considered ban evading
If the original account gets successfully appealed, then all other affected accounts get restored aswell

That’s so unfair cause many have siblings who use the same IP. If your siblings get banned, you get banned too.

It’s to try and secure the platform from ban evaders. There’s some positives and some negatives. I guess don’t let your siblings do things to get themselves banned

Yeah, it seems like they base enforcement bans off of IP because I got multiple accounts except for my main account affected by the enforcement ban, causing all of them to get falsely terminated.

IP ban is not something new. It has been around since the early days in ROBLOX.

I can confirm that it is VERY likely that Roblox bases enforcement bans solely on IP address. I am using a VPN 100% of the time, and I am currently terminated since a few days already for ban evasion.
The way I know it’s not one of my alts, is because I haven’t logged into any of my alts in over a year, and none of them are banned.

I have gotten ip banned and i have no clue how to bypass this plus i didnt do anything any suggestions?
Besides appealing and hoping it actually works (which it doesn’t at least over 90% of the time), there isn’t anything you can do. Roblox still hasn’t addressed the bug report post: Automatic ban wave incorrectly terminating thousands of accounts: AI handled appeals are consistently NOT working as expected
The only other way if they still keep refusing your appeals after a while is to go through a DSA appeal if you’re European. Otherwise, try to get the issue noticed.
I’ve been banned on Dec. 16 and I am still banned on Feb. 5 as I write this, with literally well over 200 appeals at this point and a DSA complaint in the process.
I can consider which I dont understand why roblox banning other people or innocent players within this statement which on this account writing this on its banned and permantly which I just dont get it on how or why i tried contacting a moderator on the developer forum nothing. I Guess it depends on roblox who do care about their users or not which I lost worth of 50k robux within this account or more
