Earlier today, we received one report of data loss due to an unknown issue. After a few hours of investigation, we’ve found out that the issue is caused by a fault in how we save your Snowy Event Shop data. However, by this time, more people have been affected, with some losing floors-worth of progress and even newly-obtained Mythicals. Due to the severity of the issue we decided to temporarily close Ore Tycoon 2 until a fix was implemented.
If you skipped an item on the Snowy Event Shop list and left the game, your data would become invalid and Roblox servers would reject the save request. If you did not touch the Event Shop or bought everything in the order it is listed, your data is safe.
Because of the nature of the issue, we cannot restore anyone’s lost data as it failed to save to begin with. We apologize for this incident. To compensate for the lost time and progress, we will be giving everyone who played Ore Tycoon 2 between 8:00 - 10:30 AM of December 23, 2020 (UTC+8) the following:
- x15,000 Tycoon Bux
- x50 Snowies
- “The Snowy Disaster of 2020 Badge” chat badge
