I created a Roblox cat character based on a meme. The cat itself has nothing inappropriate. The model was approved, and all the other body textures were accepted as well.
However, one texture for the cat’s left arm was mistakenly moderated by the AI. I’ve already submitted two appeals, and both were rejected.
Well it’s only 7 days. But honestly, I’m unsure of what you can do if you’ve already tried to appealed. You can always try appealing again and explaining the situation in greater detail? But as for the AI, try changing the texture a bit more maybe? It’s flagging something you and I obviously cannot see.
While this could definitely happen, it might not necessarily play out that way. I’d imagine that since AI is handling the initial moderation, a human moderator should review your case once you receive a second flag and determine whether a more serious ban is warranted.
That said, if you’re genuinely concerned about being banned, you could hold off on publishing the textures for now. If it does happen again, you can always try appealing through the automated system or reaching out to Roblox directly via email. I’m not entirely sure how effective the “report a mistake” button is, but emailing Roblox support directly might be your best option. Just explain your situation in full detail so they have all the context they need.
Here’s a link to their support contact form where you can do exactly that:

If you want a fuller list of details on how to contact and or learn about your ban, here’s another link. I will warn you I find this side of Roblox “support” terrible, but it’s there if you want to take a look.
Then unfortunately, the ban will stick and you just have to accept it and use this as a lesson. I don’t know what you’re expecting to gain from making this post.
Well, there’s a shape on the left side of the picture that resembles an inappropriate body part in my eyes. You may not see anything wrong with it, but in the end it doesn’t matter what you or I think. ROBLOX has the last say, and they are not willing to reverse the ban. Nothing he can do but move on and exercise more caution.
When you appeal multiple times and they still keep the ban alive, there is literally nothing you can do about it. Their moderation of course would detect something like that as inappropriate just because of the shape of the arm I assume. Just wait it out and be super careful in what you upload.
yeah i dont know why are people are saying it’s OP’s fault when the moderation used here is not applicable in the context of uploading 3D assets. you cannot easily moderate images that has obviously been UV unwrapped
the better way to moderate is to create a 360 preview of the mesh with the texture applied and go from there
You point out their mistake (why should we have to go through a process of correcting continuous mistakes by a multi-billion dollar company) and yet they have the audacity to, without any evidence, tell you they didn’t make a mistake and it’s “rightfully” flagged.
The unwillingness to admit to mistake and only do so when it’s been brought under media attention… then quickly brush it away or make it seem as if they were doing a good job.
“Sexual content” ye what? Again not even an explanation as for what is ‘sexual’ here
Only thing I can think of is that there’s some foolish automation into place that’s trained on imagery of inner linings of human (genital) skin and thinks this is some similar folds
No idea why ‘we’ are supposed to be guessing on what could possibly be wrong #DoYouKnowWhyIPulledYouOver
If only they bothered to invest in improving. Guess we’re just brilliant in comparison, as it doesn’t take a genius to see that there’s nothing wrong with the textured image in both 2D and 3D.
Also not sure why it reads “we reviewed”. ‘They’ (the roblox team) clearly didn’t, unless their computer moderation gets paid loan and has its own name, office and family at home.
Yeah, no idea. Unfortunately enough just something rediculous you (general use) have to deal with when using this platform Even today… almost 2026
Open a ticket. The first reply you’ll get is AI written and it will tell you that the decision was fair. Reply to that ticket with exactly what you said. I got the same thing and reported it to support. The first mail was AI-generated while the 2nd one (replying to my reply) was operated by a human agent. They wiped the moderation logs.
I’d like to hear from the Roblox staff as a whole, as we’re constantly experiencing moderation issues (sexual content). Previously, we’ve been banned for meshes. Now, for a texture, and also for 7 days. Are you planning to do anything about this?
Another quick update:
I’ve been fighting for this account for three days straight, contacting Roblox support, and still no results. The account is still banned for 7 days… The ban will probably expire without anything being reverted, and the account will still be “flagged”. It’s really frustrating. I can’t reach any Roblox staff.
This time I sent more evidence that the moderation was actually wrong, and I also included the username and ID of the modeler who made the textures before sending them to me. After four unsuccessful tickets (most of them were ignored), they’re finally ‘forwarding for further review’
