I’ve been working on a Account Safety system that shows players their current reputation status through an in-game interface, inspired by platforms like Discord and Trust & Safety dashboards.
It’s designed to make moderation more transparent, while also helping players understand their standing before things escalate.
Here’s a preview of the interface:
How it works:
The system visualizes a reputation tier from:
Good
Flagged
Elevated Risk
Temp Ban
Perma Ban
The indicator updates based on a backend moderation tracking system, which logs behavior, flags, and active actions. Players can see their status in real time.
**
What’s coming next:**
In future versions, I plan to display a list of active moderation cases, including:
Time of the incident
Type of infraction (e.g., chat abuse, exploit attempt)
Basic reason overview
This moderation insight panel will be visible only while in the game lobby. The player will be restricted from joining the main game world if their reputation is critical (e.g., TempBan+).
Feedback I’m looking for:
- What do you think about this System?
- Would you use a system like this in your game?
- Do you think this level of transparency helps build trust?
- Any concerns about players seeing their own moderation status?
Let me know what you think! ![]()
