I have tried to join any game, with or without VPN, resetting settings, reinstalling Roblox App, both on Windows PC and iPhone - upon joining a game I get stuck in “Waiting for an available server”. Unlike a linked issue, I seem to not get any error, but instead a “Waiting for an available server” text just dissapears after some time and nothing else happens.
Switching to a different account isntantly resolves it, which makes me strongly believe this issue is account specific and a duplicate of an issue linked above.
Some things to consider:
I think it normally shows attempt counter - it doesn’t in my case
I live in Russia - a country with active and aggressive internet regulations, however, if that was the case then switching account shouldn’t fix it
Last time I joined a game was a few moths ago and it was fine
I wasn’t active on Roblox for ~2 years, so I don’t think I should have opted in for any Beta testing or changed any settings added within the last 2 years
There could a potential setting or account/regional restriciton which forbids me from joining games, it just really weird that same environment wroks differently for different accounts. Today I saw a child ~10 years old playing Tower of Hell on Roblox - a proof that it’s not really a regional problem (or at least I don’t use the same bypass as this child was using, if he was using anything to begin with)
This has been happening to me too, although mine isnt necessarily account specific as Roblox is waiting for an available server only on my laptop even on different accounts, but it works fine on other devices.
I have the same issue, which started happening around 2 days ago. Tried the same things you did: can’t join any game on pc/microsoft client/mobile, working fine on different account, tried resetting confs/cache and reinstalling roblox. Dont think it’s a regional problem, I live in Estonia.
But I did find a workaround. I could join a game through a friend (had to be through a friend, joining a server directly doesn’t work). This doesn’t always seem to work though. I have a feeling it is related to said friend being in a private session and roblox throwing me into an another available one.
If I then try to reconnect to the same server roblox throws me a broken CAPTCHA, which takes about 10min to complete (absolutely awful) and after that I can join games normally for about 4 hours and then the same problem repeats.
I would like to state that as of now I am still unable to play Roblox on my main account. And it appears to be @MasterRPG123 also has the excact same problem, which turns this “such a me” issue into a more global scale. Given that this bug report is fresh and already has “me too”, someone should investigate it.
We have no idea if it has to do with development (usage of Studio) and wether or not it affects normal players. I tried to contact Roblox through this form and I can’t tell if it went through. I have no clue what to do and who do I ask for help.
I encourage anyone reading this and having same issues to reply, so that Roblox staff have easier time to find similarities between multiple accounts. If you had this issue and managed to fix it - please share a solution. This is the only ID verified account I have (assuming it’s okay to have multiple accounts to begin with).
I have the exact same issue. I’m completely unable to join any game normally on my main account from any device, though my alt account works totally fine. On my main, the only way I can join is through a friend using the Join button on their profile or via the ‘Servers My Friends Are In’ section. I still can’t join my own private servers, and trying to join a friend by finding them in the public server list fails as well.
I’ve been coming back here for a while and it seems like I’m the only one that doesn’t have an account specific error which is strange as I’ve been getting the same error as everybody else here and I want to know if there is anyone else with the same issue as me where Roblox just does not work on one device.
Quick update on my end: now whenever I try to join a game, a security verification window pops up saying ‘Verifying you’re not a bot’, followed by an inner page showing ‘Verifying browser’. It gets stuck in an infinite loop until it closes itself, leaving me with a blank white screen. Once I press the X/close button in the top left, I get kick.
As of 13 September I am now able to play on my main account. I have not taken any actions myself nor do I know what really happened. Whatever it was, it is now gone.
Since I personally no longer encounter this issue and cannot provide additional details (and this topic generally lacks any detailed info), I will mark this bug report as fixed.
To those who replied to this topic and still have same issue, you probably should repoen bug report yourself.
Yesterday, 13 September, the ‘Verifying you’re not a bot’ that @BitAwait detailed was still occuring for me, but as of today, 14 September, the problem is no longer occuring for me either.
