I’m currently modeling a set of different instruments for a game I am creating. I’m modeling 5 acoustic guitars, 5 electrics, 5 ukuleles, 4 basses, and 2 drum kits. Right now, I’m starting on the acoustic guitars since I have electrics made.
Electric guitars are solid colors the majority of the time. Easy to UV map, you know? Acoustics are literally the complete opposite. Which struck me with the question, “How do I color these accordingly?”
Here is a photo of one of the guitars I own irl. It’s a Yamaha FGX800C in sunburst. I have no clue where to even start with coloring this. Figured I’d ask other modelers their opinions.
