Activating weld script doesn't work

I have a spaceship lobby which can be flown if a code is entered into a keypad. As you can see, it activates hoverseatv2. However, the ship needs to be unanchored to fly, but if it is unanchored and welded, the ship can be destroyed by players. If a model is anchored and has a weldscript, it would act welded and unanchored, so I tried disabling the weld when the code is correct, but nothing changes.
How can I make it anchored until I enter the code?
