Hi, I’m really considering having a parent account for Roblox for <16 users to access my experience.
The problem is, is that the last actual requirement?
The last few months I’ve seen people talk about needing 500 16+ users to unlock <16 users yadda yadda,
But I can’t seem to find an article talking about that, when I do I’m just really confused…
Here’s my current requirement table.
You don’t need Roblox plus, there is an optional refundable fee.
To find the page, go to the dashboard of your game and press at the top where it says
Audience Reach: [Ages 16+ and trusted friends]. There you can see the publishing fee options and how many highly engaged users have played your game.
You will also have to verify your ID to access all ages.
I haven’t seen it documented anywhere really, but you need 500 of what Roblox calls highly “engaged” players to play your game for it to become available for <16 players initially (it’s really not about engagement at all… it’s just about how much money they spend on the platform).
Another thing I haven’t seen documented at ALL, not even mentioned on the website, but heard a lot on the forums: even after getting 500 HEP (and apparently even if you spent 100K robux to bypass it, dont take my word on that though i heard it like once), you need 100 every 2 months or your game goes back to 16+
as someone who has gotten 3 games all ages, once you pay the 1k fee or have roblox plus, be able to publish to all, and have 500 HEP, the game will become all ages a day after. pretty sure the 100k fee fully bypasses the 500 HEP requirement and i dont think you have to keep 100 HEP, but if you refund the fee you will have to complete the 500 HEP initial requirement and maintain 100 HEP for a few months
Does this reset to 16+ if you update the game after becoming all ages? (I 99% assume not but making sure)
Additionally,
If you update the game before 500 Highly engaged players, does that counter reset back to 0?
Also, on average how many visits would it take before reaching the 500 highly engaged players mark?
no, once a game goes all ages it stays all ages if it stays with 100 highly engaged players (or if you have the 100k fee, it will stay all ages until you refund or keep 100 highly engaged). no updates will reset the highly engaged players. for the average visits, i would say between 75-300k visits.
I am already ID verified and I have my Roblox Plus subscription (Roblox gave one to me), so would I need to also pay 100k robux for my game?
My main game should qualify, but I have an alternate place we used for testing and quality assurance purposes. I want to refrain from forcing my testers to ID verify just to test with us.
you only pay the 100k if you want a game all ages faster without the 500 HEP. the 1k fee to get all ages with 500 HEP is excluded with roblox plus. also im pretty sure subplaces of an all ages game also become all ages
