Add a 'random' section to the games page

The current sections of the games page are all global and ordered.

This means everyone sees the same games, and it means everyone sees the same games after they refresh the page because there was nothing interesting.

Those games get a high visibility advantage too. If you are on the front page, you get superior visibility.

A random section does two things:

  1. It spreads out the visiblity more evenly to a higher amount of games, without a single user needing to actually see all of them at once.
  2. It offers a constant flow of new content to players. Refresh the page and you are shown a set of games you might have never seen before.

Of course, its not completely random, but instead sorts games by quality/popularity/whatever, and randomly picks the games off the top of that list.

This could also be integrated as a part of existing sections. ‘Most popular’ wouldnt show the most popular, but it would pick a random set of games from the top of a most popular list.

But otherwise I agree, it sounds interesting.

I think that Top Rated should be between Popular and Top Earning. Seems like it has a lot more quality content than Top Earning, Points, and Paid combined.

The “random” section could show games that have a decent rating and a few hundred-thousand visits, as there are many high quality games that don’t have many players due to recognition or failure to advertise properly.
