Add A/B Testing and Stats for Titles & Icons

Hey Roblox Developers,

Have you ever felt like you had the best thumbnails but have a low PTR?
The issue probably comes from your title, description & Icon!

Every Roblox Developer probably went through this.

This is why I am opening a Feature Request. I think that we would all love if Roblox includes a built-in way to A/B Test both a game’s title and it’s icon

Picture this:

Game #1

Main Thumbnail:

Title:
Plane volcano crash

Game #2:

Main Thubmnail:

Title: Volcano Escape!

Which game would you click?

  • Game 1
  • Game 2

Personally speaking, I’d vote Game 2 due to the trending term “Escape” being used and the overall title being more engaging than random words put together.

Now, that’s my own personnal opinion but how can I be sure that every other player will click that same title and not the other one?

I can’t, and that’s the issue.

As developers, we should have the ability to test different titles and have insights to know which title is the best to use.

Look at YouTube, the thumbnail in a YouTube video plays a huge part to getting the spectator’s attention but the title is also another major part. Even tho YouTubers don’t have the ability to test different titles, they have significantly less statistics that could influence their views and can just rely on how their video does with titles.

To conclude, if that was to be added, would you use it?

Wait, since when could we add thumbnails and icons to forum threads? I’ve never seen those here.

This would be such a useful feature! We’re currently debating between a few game titles for our newly released game “TNT!”

We’d love to test new names as the current name is not that describing. But it’s pretty hard to interpret statistics changing as the game was just picked up by the algorithm, so players & clicks heavily fluctuate.

Having a feature correlating game name & QPTR would be really useful.
