Sometimes in #collaboration:portfolios when they are created, people sometimes use other people’s work for their past work and people try and hire them and sometimes could scam them or waste their time. I feel like there should be pending approval since pending approval team members can check for any copied work.

If you see plagiarism in the Collaboration categories and you have credible proof of that, please flag the thread for review. Obviously you shouldn’t speak for another developer and witch hunt any plagiarism yourself since you can’t assume someone’s access to content.
It doesn’t make sense to be putting categories on post approval. The program was originally intended for the Platform Feedback categories alone, and the other categories being under post approval was an extension of courtesies. Community Post Approval is being phased out as well.
I don’t think plagiarism is in a significant enough quantity to call for locking the categories. That’s always a temporary solution and we should strive to make the forum accessible to all developers new and veteran, not lock them out of these places.
