Ads Manager not running Campaigns on specific Places

An Issue I’ve had for over a week now, whenever I try to run a Campaign on a “Test Place”, my budget does not get spent. By Test Place, I’m referring to Places that redirect all visits to the main game to help us A/B Test various Icon Concepts before deploying them, so the Metrics on these Test Places are awful. Regardless of Target Groups or Campaign settings, the Budget simply won’t get spent and I don’t receive any impressions. If it’s relevant, I do still receive the Credit Refund that happens if your budget fails to get spent.

Expected behavior

My Budget should be spent, regardless of which Place & Target groups I assign for the Campaign.

Starting next week, you’ll be able to add custom thumbnails directly in Ads Manager — making it easier to A/B test and optimize your creatives. This update should give you more control and clearer insights into what performs best.

This, unfortunately, looks like the intended behavior. We have encountered many fraudulent uses of teleportation in games and because of this sometimes our ads system optimizes not to serve these games. This depends on a lot of things like if a other experiences that teleport users in a similar fashion are being reported as spammy or fraudulent experiences.

We appreciate that you noticed we do not charge you if you do not receive plays and hope this helps. As albert_yumeng mentioned - we are hoping your experimentation needs are better covered by our new custom thumbnails system!

But as our spam systems evolve - to make sure we keep the platform enjoyable for users we discourage these kind of teleport based patterns.
