Adventure Game Gimmick

Hi,
For years I have made games similar to Mario where you have to go through different worlds and get Stars to open up new worlds, then beat the final boss. I have had ideas to change up each game with a gimmick so they dont all feel the same.

So far, I have used:
Running Adventure Game
No Jumping Adventure Game

What other ideas would you suggest for gimmicks?

Heres an example of one without any gimmicks I made years ago.
