People say you don’t need robux to get your game going, and you could just advertise on discord servers, that stuff. ALTHOUGH, I don’t have any social media, do I just ask people to do it for me? I’m broke so I can’t pay them but do I just ask them to do it for free and would it be worth asking?
You can definitely do that but not in a blatantly spammy way, as that will only give your game (and your name for the matter) bad reputation. And if you do it in servers or communities catered only towards advertising, then it would be close to being pointless.
As for advertising, that’s true. You should never depend /solely/ on advertising. If your game is good, it will advertise for itself. However, that doesn’t mean that advertising isn’t a good technique to kick it off at the start and every now and then.
Honestly, you need advertising to make a game work. Just buy a 40 dollar roblox card and spend 500 a day. You don’t want discord kids on your games anyways, in my experience they’re picky and don’t spend as much. For me, tablet gamers have been the best money makers, advertise to them the most
In my opinion, no. The best way to start is to tell your friends and have them tell more people, which will start being in players. Another thing your game has to be fun if you want those players to come back.
