A.E.m.G.C - Emergency Operations Update

Emergency Operations Update - Version 0.1

Main priority of this update was to improve the original shutdown and add extra steps to make it more difficult, but many other changes have been made as well.

On a side note, with the size of this update, the game is now considered out of beta!

Main Changes

New improved shutdown system

Shutdown isn’t as simple as before, and now requires additional steps in order to be activated.

Activation
Once shutdown becomes available, an authorization code is required, which is received from the server control room.

Once the code is received, a control unit will be displayed on the main screen along with the required level it must be set too. There’ll be at least 6 units that’ll require syncing, and once done, shutdown will be unlock and can be activated. (This is only required in meltdown. Overpressure will do this automatically)

Each system and their codenames:

  • PLM_ACC(#) → Plasma Accelerator (Laser)
  • COOLANT_FLOW → Coolant
  • PRSU_REL(#) → Pressure Release Valve
  • WATER_FEED(#) → Water Feed Valve
  • STR_CIRC → Structure Circulation

Priming Process
Works pretty much the same, however a new additional was made. Shutdown is now able to continue into phase 2 if it was activated too late, and if that happens, the chance of success would depend on how late shutdown was activated (the later it was activated, the lower the chances). If successful however, it’ll shutdown normally, along with a new badge.

New thermal logic

Instead of temperature (now called hull temperature) being the controlled value, it’s now internal temperature. Once internal temperature reaches a certain limit, hull temperature starts to rise. And once hull temperature reaches a certain limit, magnet integrity starts to drop.

  • New limits:
    • Internal Temperature
      • 250m °C → Hull Temperature starts to rise
      • <100m °C → Fusion Sustainability starts to drop
    • Hull Temperature
      • 2,500 °C → Overheat but no effect
      • 3,750 °C → Magnet Integrity starts dropping

New Controls

Along with the new thermal logic, there’s also new controls that came along with it.

  • Coolant Flow → Not new, however it’s now dedicated to Internal Temperature instead of Hull Temperature
  • Structure Circulation → Cooling circulation for the reactor hull. Cools Hull Temperature
  • Emergency Coolant Injection → Rapidity cools Internal Temperature. Use incase of needing to quickly the reactor interior
  • Emergency Structure Cooling → Rapidity cools hull Temperature. Use incase of needing to quickly the reactor hull or if the normal circulation is ineffective
Minor Changes
  • Switched to the new chat system
  • Server control room has been made. Finally finishing off the server room
  • Alarm muter has been replaced with a proper button
  • “Overall Conditions” status has been coded
  • Temp. graph is now linked to the Internal Temp.
  • Added a new annunciator: Interior Overheat (wow so important)
  • Additional effects during certain events
  • New startup failure variant (2.5%)
  • Qol changes
  • Building changes
    • Added railings to the control room
    • Added additional detail to the hallways
    • Added wires around the server room
