Hey everyone! 9 years ago (2016) is when I first hopped on Roblox Studio and learned to start creating. Ever since then I’ve loved creating and I’ve developed hundreds of projects. I sort of have a problem tho… I procrastinate, ALOT. I’ve never been able to focus on one thing because I’ve always strived to go big while being a solo developer. And it doesn’t work out, I get bored, burnt out, or just move on to a new idea. Over the past 9 years I haven’t really made anything that was truly “my game”. I’ve done plenty of commissions and started on tons of projects but never made a final product. That’s why I decided to dedicate the last two weeks to creating a game that I WOULD finish. It’s nothing much but it’s a game, it works, and it’s complete. It’s a basic idea, and it is honestly a bit of a cash grab but I really did put a lot of effort into making this game actually fun and enjoyable. There are zero toolbox scripts and I made all the UI and thumbnails myself. So, if you’ve got a bit of free time and don’t mind it consider hopping on the game with the link below and try it out. Leave me plenty of feedback and if you have any questions, ask. I plan on making many more games this summer and any ideas you’ve got would be appreciated. P.S. depending on when you view this post in the game there is ONE frame that says coming soon… I know, it’s ironic but that’s temporary and I plan on getting that finished this weekend!
i played one full round and here’s what i take away:
please add mobile shift lock!
ui is great. gvessters icon pack is always a good choice if you don’t want to make icons, and the animations are clean and smooth!
obby-wise it is pretty good. it does sometimes get repititive, but it still has lots of fun things. some of it might be impossible though, i mean especially with the kill-bricks.
the actual gameplay is a little weird. i mean you can just hop on the lava and potentially get a huge skip. OR you can be lazy and keep purposely dying to get to the next checkpoint. it can just get a little messy sometimes.
has great potential though, and it’s definitely more entertaining than MOST other troll games.
Hey! I recently have been addicted to ToH and EToH and decided to make my own tower game and this will be a passion project not a cash grab game for a few bucks, I really want to give it my all. I am also struggling with the icon/thumbnail as I don’t want to pay anyone and i don’t want to use ai. Do you have any tips/suggestions for me?
Thanks i will definitely check out figma! Another question i have is, do you advertise? and how do you advertise if you do? i feel like the sponsor system on Roblox kinda stinks.
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I spent about 6k robux on sponsor advertising. And yeah your right. Unless you spend a ton it does seem to suck, we only got about 3k visits with those sponsors so if you really want your game to take off I’d suggest social media marketing. A really good way to build a loyal community around your game it to start a dev log YouTube channel. With that you’ll build an audience before your game even comes out and if you. do get traction with those videos your pretty much guaranteed a strong release when you finish the game!
