The thing is Roblox and their investors aren’t thinking before they act, they got lucky with their money a few times when investing in the first place. They should not get their money back for investing into this, and this update should be pushed back against.

after coming back a month since the update rolled out every game is just dead. i also cant know if a game has a discord or not so theres no way for me to play with new people. looking at my favorite’s list i can see games i used to play but when clicking them i get 404’d or the game is unrated which just makes this even more sad. dispite everything i still will not hand over my face/government issued id to roblox

PLEASE reconsider this. It’s ridiculous, in my opinion. Somehow, ID submission and biometric recordings to chat, in comparison, seems like less of an issue than this.
In my opinion, I think this is a privacy violation and that lawmakers should pass laws banning the use of this technology. I won’t even get into the possibility to fake verification, incorrect verifications, the black-market selling of verified accounts, the possibility of data breaches OR data being taken/subpoenaed by governments.
I think that this change will not only be “disruptive” as the announcement states, but will likely lead to groups flat out quitting Roblox in big numbers, and frankly I hope that it wakes us up to the realization that biometric verification is almost universally hated by everyone (and is a poor solution to a greater problem).

Had a slow week in my life (if we ignore a burning world and unstable political landscape…) and wanted to test something out on Roblox Studio DESPITE the series of AI bubble, blind profit driven and US levels (duh) of delusional forced updates on this platform forcing me to use it less and less, just to be greeted with a pop up talking about ID verification even for this.
The AI bubble will explode, and I hope all corporations get what they deserve.

Before i lose the ability to send anything in this forum forever I just want to say thanks Roblox for repeatedly shooting yourself in the foot over and over. Thanks for coercing millions of children into giving their photos and information to a shady third company with shady ties and low security. Everyone really wanted that. Everyone definitely really wanted millions of childrens data to not only be put at risk of data breaches but also of government surveillance
Of course anyone who opposes this change will no longer be able to speak. Drown out everyone other than the bootlickers. How much of a future is left for this platform

Congrats Roblox, you did it! You finally blocked out all the criticizers. Despite the fact that everyone was protesting this since the moment you announced, you just plugged our ears and ignored it. For what, just to please the investors? They probably don’t even care about this platform that much and would invest into something else if it seemed more profitable. But hey, what does any one else know? I’m not going to say anything else, since it’s just going to be a copy of over a few thousand people {if we combine all the forum post on the Age Checks in general} have already made. However, I guess we can all agree that this is “The New Order: Last {Insert unit of time} of Roblox”

I can see why its on the main site because its used MAINLY BY CHILDREN and the MODERATION IS HORRIBLE
But your just bombarding Roblox Studio with stuff like “Purchase any Product to Publish your game!” or “Age verify to team create”. Whats the point of that Dude
