also i want to mention that, with no ill intent or anything, i did a experiment a while back with 5 accounts, i posted the same meme on all accounts and waited for a day, only 1/5 got banned. i will be doing this again to see if there are any changes

After doing some investigating I think this could be a great reason, But I don’t think you should. have been terminated plus getting terminated for “Harmful Content” and it not getting taken down is so just not good because if you use the Photo’s in a game or smh your just gonna get banned, I think this should be appealable honestly, this is stupid how it is unappealable well I guess it is but they don’t respond. I think that Jidnaping (Jayden Williams) Kidnaping is The Most sigma one but back on track this is one of the weirdest things I personally am in now.

It said no details were released in the Email so ofc there isn’t really a way to view any info but this is far fetched honestly.

But if they’re gonna ban people, it shouldn’t nearly as severe as a termination and it also should be consistent. It isn’t far that some people can upload the meme with absolutely no consequences while others get terminated

I feel sad because if you think about it being termination and saying is fair will not fix the issue, more people will fall for such a image btw their kids they don’t know better plus what kid reads the rules.
Hell i would much rather get warned on studio than immediately getting suspension or terminated because being warn will stop you or anyone from the image and even make some people delete the image. Now let’s just say they kept going than is justified as a 14 day suspension that’s more reasonable.
Plus people are so curious and will do almost anything to try it if roblox allows it.
But i do hope everyone gets unbanned and they’ll put some sort of warning.
I care about the people not myself because im one in 1million and saving people accounts with a warning is way worth it than a silent unban just to not fix it.

You are not allowed to upload faces that are or look real. Which is just a warning.
You are not allowed to upload images of copyrighted charecters. Which is just a warning.
You are not allowed to upload images depicting violence. This is more severe than the first two rules but less severe than the next.
You are not allowed to upload picture of children, especially not children being harmed. You aren’t even allowed to make a subtle joke about children being harmed. This gets flagged as child endangerment. This is why the bans are happening.
I am not posting my opinion, I just wanted to clarify the rules a little bit.

The issue is that moderation on this is inconsistent. The same image is left up in large numbers while other people are terminated for it, and there’s no way to tell in advance which one you’ll get. That inconsistency is what causes the problem. When copies stay live across the Creator Store and on UGC items that are on sale, people reasonably conclude it’s allowed. It’s a meme, so people will keep uploading it, and each of those uploads either stays up and reinforces the impression that it’s fine, or ends someone’s account. This is effectively a feedback loop that will continue to get people banned unless something is done.
As I’ve made clear before, I’m not advocating for the image to be allowed on the platform. All instances of this meme should be taken down, and Roblox should implement a system that detects problematic images before they’re uploaded.

Their AI moderation was probably bought somewhere on sale for a couple of cents. Apparently, a fuzzy hash is used to identify violations, something like a free SSDeep. that is why some images are moderated, while others are not. What is easily recognized by a human is difficult for a machine, especially if it is operated by incompetent personnel.

I know, it was previously stated that inconsistency is the problem.
I upload hundreds of images, I don’t think Roblox would be able to pre-approve them all.
I do have an opinion, I believe that the AI is unable to understand the context that it’s a meme referencing a game and that it doesn’t call for a permaban.

Doesn’t matter if it’s inconsistent. You should have your own judgment and not upload a meme depicting the endangerment of a child. Yes I agree everyone should get banned who uploaded this but you broke the rules. And even the examples you showed are all bypasses and all of them are edited in some way to not trigger the AI moderation.

Unfortunately your judgement is clouded - you mention that the examples are “bypasses” and that they’re edited in a way to not trigger the AI moderation, when OP literally showed that AI moderation is what got him terminated. The lack of immediate AI moderation at the time of upload along with the countless copies of these images still existing on the platform (due to the inconsistencies mentioned throughout this thread) are what gave OP the green light to upload the memes.

As I’ve mentioned in my post it was poor judgement on my part. But if a rule is to be broken the punishments given out should be equal. Right now it ranges from being completely untouched to having your account terminated with little to no room to appeal due to the current state of Roblox’s support system. Also there is no proof whatsoever to back up the fact that all of those images were edited to “bypass” the moderation. I was able to find exact copies of the image I got banned for on the Creator Store, which was done by uploading the EXACT same image into the search. Even if they were edited, it wouldn’t change the fact that the AI moderation is clearly flawed and needs improvement.

seeing some of these comments makes me realize that alot of people dont know how difficult it will be for them when they suddenly loose their highly invested and old account to ai moderation with ai appeal wall blocking them from reaching any real staff at all
