Our game was falsely flagged by Roblox Ai Moderation for ‘‘failing to properly implrement Roblox’s TextChatService API’’ despite it being fully integrated properly with age gating. People in age groups cannot talk to others in other age groups and filtering messages are fully tagged and made not visible.
There is no violation to be found when we press on ‘‘View Violation’’ and support emails are left unanswered. This is the second time the auto moderation has flagged our project with the first time Roblox support answering in under 2 hours and confirming the mistake. We were under the impression that this would take place this time aswell but its been days with no further update so far.
The game cant be published and redoing the age rating questionnaire also does nothing.
We are left without any infos or what to do really. Any info or help is appreciated or maybe there is something else we need to change?
The game ID is 131031240633619 and its name is Rintama High
I’d like to thank everyone in advance who can help us out!
Even if Roblox returns the game, they don’t take accountability for damaged game metrics, financial loss, significantly reduced CCU, and any other harm done to the game during the downtime moderation period.
I’ve had experienced exact same issue where a moderator created made-up claims that my game has voting system with players showing each other their free-form user creation drawings, even though such thing has never existed in my game.
Hopefully you can recover your game soon, and 10k CCU is a massive amount, and it is insane how incompetent is Roblox moderation to take down large games for false reasons.
That is true sadly, we had to delay 2 big community updates as a result of this which is just very infuriating considering we barely passed our first week after releasing.
My only hope now is that they at least resolve this moderation mistake and let us publish the game for the public.
It’s incredibly unprofessional how often upcoming developers are pushed to the side. How can games be expected to succeed if new releases are taken down without a human actually reviewing and validating AI moderation actions? On top of that, Roblox support has become increasingly slow, with responses sometimes taking up to 10 days. For a newly released game, that kind of delay can severely damage or even kill its player base.
Unfortunately this situation is extremely common and happens to a lot of other devs. You would think that Roblox the multi billion dollar corporation would do a little more to help but nope. Instead of taking down games that shouldn’t be on the platform they’re too busy with bs like this
I just played your game the last week, I couldn’t even use chat since your game automatically detected my account isn’t allowed to talk.
This AI moderation will literally drive us out of the platform if nothing is resolved, we can’t go on like this; too afraid to upload any image, audio, game, clothing, or even edit the names of models in our own games.
i played your game rintama high. its really cool and its really immersive game.
take what i said here with grain of salts.
what i do notice regarding the chat issue is while its true your chat has been filtered by age. it isn’t showing the trusted friends chat maybe it has to do with that?
also i noticed some issues with the phone chat ui and display regarding the text too maybe it also has to do with it?
unfortunately its all i got regarding your game being improperly implementing the roblox textchatservice API.
you might need to contact some creators too regarding this to make it more visible to the public and roblox. hopefully they can help your game issues.
best of luck to you
Edit: i noticed i wasn’t that clear regarding the phone text is it might trigger the roblox chat filters even IF its not going through to the other recipient (this also have the same issue as the chat with it not being able to speak to the friend that you have as trusted friend with AND based on my friend statement (which i cannot verify the truth) it occassionaly able to pass the swear words too)
The phone does have text filtering and works correctly with the groups, one of our developers is in a different age group and I was not able to see his messages on my phone ingame. In our communication server we also published regular update logs which did include the phone numerous times.
Furthermore the Ai moderated the latest version of the game which makes this even more strange and confusing to us. Really out of options here, only hope a human would overlook and moderate our experience to confirm that everything does infact work as asked from us.
ah i see if you guys already fixed the chat and phone chat problems with the trusted friend stuff then the problems does lies in roblox AI.
i don’t know the chances roblox will check the reports i can really only recommend to ask creators to help making this problems more visible to the public so a human moderator might take notice of this.
you were lucky to have your previous moderation issue responded to so quickly, depending on your appeal route whether it be a support ticket or though the appeals and violations portal it can take weeks to months to get a response with some responses even being an AI template and not helpful. I wish you luck but you will be fighting an uphill battle from here.
The best scenario for you currently is that you receive a response soon and if “if” it is a real person/staff member and they consider your case properly your game will be publishable again. Post ban removal however will also cause another audience expansion review period (a week+) so if your game is playable for users below 16, it won’t be anymore until the review period is over.
Worst case scenario (the scenario 90% of devs face in regards to ai moderation) is email threads and tickets that span for a month each being replied to by AI and appeals being instantly denied with no information. Then finally reaching a staff member and getting your game back by that point suffering considerable financial losses and more.
I have a thread on my account where a similar situation took place + my resolution process in getting my game back if that helps. Good luck seriously
Had this experience too, they took down my game and I immediately asked moderation to reinstate it on the same day it was taken down. They took about 2 weeks just to put the game “under review” and had an additional day to finally put it back up. The CCU loss was insane (1-2k ccu to 40) and was a huge financial hit as a solo dev. I think one of the only chances you have of being reinstated fast enough is through DevRel. Goodluck on getting your game back hopefully asap.
I’m experiencing a similar situation, my game (Draw Anything!) has been going through repeated false flags for “Free-Form User Creation” despite meeting All Ages requirements, appealed and restored 5+ times, and this time the appeal was denied even though the game had already passed moderation review while banned. Still suspended after 15 days, and no further response. Seems like a broader pattern of AI moderation flags.
Upon filling out another appeal for the game I had the Ai start talking to me on which I replied the message you can see below. Today less than 24 hours later a Human Moderator checked the game end removed the violation we had meaning we currently are back online thankfully.
I won’t say this is the reason we managed to appeal but it would be worth trying it out should someone else have issues.
The ai chatbot has special powers fr, seems like the chatbot boosts appeal visibility, same thing happened with me after continuous denied appeals the one appeal that prompted a chatbot got my game to a real person and unbanned
You can’t build any long-term relationship with Roblox. It all depends on some random factors. Therefore, it is pointless to count on any earnings here. The game may be deleted for no reason.Or maybe not. The AI bot can respond. Or maybe not. Your account may be moderated for no reason. Or they may not moderate it. It looks like some kind of roulette in a casino.
