"Al Capwn" attachment

When the item “Al Capwn” is worn and used in R15 the chain tends to clip into your torso a lot when jumping, or looks awkward when being used on the avatar while the hat sits perfectly fine.

Video down below

The hat uses the hat attachment, however could there be something better to help fix the issue with the chain or perhaps not? It could probably use something better but I’m not entirely sure of what.

Expected behavior

I expect the chain to sit good while being used along with the hat, only issue is changing the hat attachment could mean something else for this item overall, hopefully it could be fixed.

Given that the hat and chain are a single mesh combined, there’s really no way they could make the chain track the torso separately from the hat. The only other option would be to split the accessory into two different ones.

I do agree, but if possible is there not another attachment point it could be connected to, to help fix this issue or maybe not

Thanks for flagging this. Unfortunately, this is a lose-lose situation. If it’s attached to one of the attachments associated with the Head joint, then the necklace doesn’t work right. And if it’s attached to one of the Upper torso attachments, then the hat is going to look wrong when moving.

We’d love to fix this, but there isn’t a good way to do so.

Thanks for your understanding!

Honestly, I think rearranging the attachment to fix the necklace would look better. Yes, it would mess up the hat but at least the hat will sit nicely on top of your head instead of having the necklace look all janky you know.

It might. But:

  • Your hat will now move weirdly because it won’t move with your head, but with your torso. So if your head tilts, the hat might stay in the same place. We feel that that would look arguably worse than the necklace penetrating the mid section.
  • This will break the hat for folks who might have used Accessory Adjustment to fit it.
  • Whether you use the neck attachment or hat attachment, the hat or the necklace will not look right in different situations. Since this is already marked as a Hat asset, it’s better to keep it attached to the Hat attachment.

What we should have done is check these things in as two separate assets and bundle them up as one. That way, it’ll use two attachment points and we won’t have this issue.
