Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – AI Chat (Looking for opinions)

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland - AI Chat
I’m working on a new game called Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – AI Chat, where you can chat with characters from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865).

Everything is based only on the original 1865 public-domain text, not later adaptations. That’s why some characters may look or act a bit different than what you’re used to. I also went with a more anime-inspired aesthetic while keeping their original looks.

Mainly looking for:

  • General thoughts on the idea
  • Which Wonderland characters or just characters you’d want to chat with (public domain only)
  • Any ideas you think would make it better

Curious what people think, Thanks for Reading!

  1. Horrible UI.
Like what is this? Why are they not automatically scaled?
  2. AI backgrounds ≠ good
  3. It takes so long to respond to simple messages like “Hi”
  4. Why are there credits? The Roblox TextGenerator could easily do better
  5. The game rating is inaccurate. It is extended interactions and should be marked as 18+. If you aren’t that old, you should private the game.
**Here’s an example of a something you could try to aim for: **

The White Rabbit is occasionally over-filtered (###) due to Roblox text filtering, which I’ll be adjusting in its prompt. Thanks for the screenshot.

Chats use a timer and clear automatically, and no conversation data is saved. Because of this, the current AI interaction rating being limited is accurate.

I appreciate the feedback on the UI. The layout is intentional and is designed to scale across different screen sizes.

Response times are longer because messages pass through moderation to ensure compliance with Roblox’s ToS and overall safety. This should improve over time.

Regarding credits: Roblox’s TextGenerator does not offer the same level of capability. Credits are required because this experience uses a paid external AI API.

Thanks for the feedback.

The white rabbit is a bit (completely!) ####…

I think the message limit could be a hassle for anyone seriously getting into it, but I can see why you have it.

Generally I found the UI OK, but I would suggest returning the focus to the input box after accepting the input, I started typing a couple of times without and then had to click on it and re-type.

I would suggest some conversation starters, e.g. a greeting from each new character to suggest things to talk about.

How about an option to make this more of guided interactive story, so start the player at a specific point in the story (e.g. rabbit hole) and give them more story based guidance options rather than letting them select a specific character, e.g. introduce the new characters at specific events. It feels too open world at the moment.

Thank you. I’ve disabled the White Rabbit for now and will look into returning focus to the input field.

Great idea!!!, I’m going to build it as a separate system/game. Guided, interactive story that follows the 1865 story and lets players interact with different characters as they progress.

Thanks Again!!!

straight away i dislike that there is an ai thumbnail

Recommendation: try using https://pollinations.ai/, they support a lot of models and is kinda free if you have a good github account and if you submit your game to the showcase its basically free
