I am trying to drag a part onto a slanted surface and I want the part to align to the surface. When I try it simply doesn’t affect the orientation whatsoever (seen in the video with the grass). I’ve looked around but cant seem to find anything that achieves or describes exactly what I am looking for (seen in the video with the gun). Is there a setting I need to toggle or something?

Looking more, there is an option to use surface and initial orientation when dragging a part by holding and releasing the alt key. Despite holding the key it does not seem to make any effect.
