All objects, including meshes and parts, have a very visable block around them, as can be seen below.
I have tried multiple things, such as clearing my cache and re-installing Roblox Studio, yet the issue persists.
The bug can been seen in all the places I have access to, even ones that belong to a group, yet other developers cannot see it.
Some of the objects retain this anomaly during play test, but some also return to normal.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Expected behavior
I should not be seeing any of these weird gray blocks on all of my objects, during editing or playtesting.
Do these blocks appear when wireframe rendering is turned on?
Yes, they do.
Though they are light gray lines…
They don’t appear to be handles. Might be the result of a plugin. Does disabling all your plugins and restarting studio fix this issue?
No, disabling all plugins and restarting studio doesn’t seem to resolve it.
Did you try checking if collision fidelity is on?
It appears that the opacity of the object also influences the opacity of the block.
Roblox Studio is having an issue with meshes among other things right now. Try again later.
This does not explain the block surrounding the spawn tho
This has been happening for quite a while now.
I’ve only posted it now as it is really irking me now.
Your graphics drivers might be corrupted maybe, what happens if you select the object with the surrounding part? Is this bug studio only?
It is set to default.
These blocks just randomly appeared, my models were all fine before.
Also I don’t think collision fidelity is the root cause, as it would affect the entire mesh, not just the bottom of it.
Does it look normal in game? Or do you encounter the same issue
It just stays with the object.
It does not appear in the Roblox Player if that’s what you mean.
Well this is odd, it almost looks like a part is constantly created inside of any instance?
That’s what I was thinking, but this is a fresh baseplate with a model I just imported.
Below I have attached 2 images, one for during editing, and one during play testing.
During editing
Play testing
As you can see, the vehicle no longer has the blocks, but the spawn still does.
Some models appear to lose the blocks, while others don’t.
All the images in the original post were taken during play testing.
Click the icon in the top right of the viewport. You probably have one of the options enabled (Something like touching surfaces/parts, I cant check right now since Studio is down)
They appear even if they are not touching any other surfaces, as seen below.
But I’ll give it a try and see what happens.
Well, I found the issue, thanks to @BackspaceRGB, it seems that it was a physics label.
Thanks for the help everyone
You just need to uncheck the box to fix it.
