As a Roblox developer, currently the only way to download a place file locally in a Team Create session, is to wait until Studio saves the place to Roblox, and then wait until the place file is downloaded from Roblox.
As far as I’m aware, this isn’t how it used to be. Before, Studio would simply save the session to my device without having to upload the place to Roblox.
This was a great advantage, as because it didn’t rely on saving to Roblox, I didn’t have to wait neither for the file being downloaded, or Roblox problems to be resolved. Especially for the latter.
Unfortunately, when Roblox servers go down and APIs become inaccessible, saving a Team Create session to my device becomes impossible. This is a major issue for my workflow, as I wish to save my place in case if anything becomes corrupted, which actually happened!
It would be great if Roblox allowed us to save the Team Create session to our devices before it saves it to its servers. Most of the problems I’ve mentioned above would be resolved. Thank you.
