Allow developers to easily know if a player has liked a game

Allow developers to easily know whether the player liked or disliked game, or not rated.

This is helpful because of in-game rewards.

Also, it will be great if you implemented a in-game prompt to like or dislike game while playing.

Also helpful, because players then don’t have to leave the game, like, and then join again just to claim the reward. Maybe players will get bored and not return to the game. What do you think about that?

No. This would be an actively harmful addition because then developers could get people to like their game just for rewards, even if the game is… of subpar quality.

Developers already do this when they tell players to “Like the game & Join the group for rewards”.

Most players don’t know that liking the game has nothing to do with the criteria as only the group joining is what matters to be eligible for the rewards (because it’s the only thing you can check out of the two). Still, most of the time these players end up liking the games that prompt such requirements regardless of the fact that it has nothing to do with claiming their rewards.

What is the point of this reply? Doesn’t at all change that it would just bring harm

It wouldn’t bring harm. It wouldn’t change anything as a matter of fact. Because it’s already happening. The harm is already here. Nothing is being brought.

This is gonna be abused in all cash-grab games to influence it’s already bloated stats.
Ratings should be stayed as personal as they are, right now just because game tells you like for something is actually a scam that known for a decade, implementing this will just open the gate.

This is being used by cashgrabs targeting children.
Games like grow a garden 2 and other front page games would implement this functionality.

This would cause more harms than good.

Yes, I forgot about that part.

This would be an awful feature to implement. Likes/dislikes should be something genuine, not another metric that just gets degraded into a meaningless number that no longer represents if a game is good or not by making it actually viable to incentivise and reward these kinds of rating boosting tactics.

You don’t understand my point. I’m saying even without this feature, developers are already lying to players telling them to like the game to earn rewards.

I’m not for nor against this feature because it’s not changing anything.

Scenario for clarity;

CURRENTLY : Developer tells player to “like the game and join the group” to earn rewards > player likes the game and joins the group and earns the reward.

AFTER THIS FEATURE : Developer tells player to “like the game and join the group” to earn rewards > player likes the game and joins the group and earns the reward.

The only difference would be the fact that currently there is no way to know if a player has liked your game or not. Nevertheless, it doesn’t matter. Players like the game in both scenarios because they’re not aware that the “liking” criteria doesn’t actually matter, and the outcome is the same in both scenarios. I don’t understand where you see NEW harm being brought.

I also think likes and dislikes are something that shouldn’t be asked for and should just be earned and given by the player if they like or dislike the game.
