Allow Managing Game Inventory Through Creator Dashboard

The revamped Asset Manager has made managing assets inside Roblox Studio much more organized, especially with the introduction of inventories, folders, filtering, search, and bulk actions.

However, managing an experience’s asset inventory still requires opening Roblox Studio. I would like to see the game inventory from the Asset Manager exposed directly through Creator Dashboard (create.roblox.com), allowing developers to manage their experience’s assets without needing to open Studio.

Proposed Feature

Add an Assets / Inventory section to an experience’s Creator Dashboard page that provides the same management capabilities available for the game’s inventory in the revamped Asset Manager and User Asset Manager.

The goal would not necessarily be to duplicate every Studio-specific feature. Instead, the Creator Dashboard should provide the inventory-management functionality that does not require Studio or access to the 3D editor.

Why This Would Be Useful

A significant portion of asset management is administrative rather than development-specific.

For example, if a developer wants to upload or rename several assets, there is little reason that they should have to launch Studio just to perform those operations.

This would also be particularly useful for:

  • Team Create, where developers may need to manage assets without editing the game.
  • Large experiences, where keeping thousands of assets organized is important.
  • Production workflows ( git ), where Studio may not be involved in the particular task being performed.

Roblox already supports managing many asset-related settings through Creator Dashboard, including asset permissions and archiving. The revamped Asset Manager also supports bulk permission operations and organization through folders.

Bringing these capabilities together under the experience’s Creator Dashboard would make the web dashboard a much more complete management interface.

Ideally, the interface should use the same underlying inventory system as the revamped Asset Manager, rather than creating a separate asset-management system.

This would also make the Creator Dashboard and Studio consistent: changes made through create.roblox.com would immediately be reflected in Studio’s Asset Manager, and vice versa.

The Asset Manager already establishes the concept of an experience having its own inventory and supports folder organization within that inventory. Extending those existing capabilities to Creator Dashboard seems like a natural next step.

It has significantly improved asset organization in Studio, but developers should not need to launch Studio for purely asset-management.

Adding game inventory management to Creator Dashboard would make asset management considerably more convenient while also making Creator Dashboard a more complete management environment for Roblox experiences.
