As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to manage more than five accounts using the account switching feature. The current limit of five accounts forces users to repeatedly log out and log back in when they need access to a sixth or subsequent account. This adds unnecessary friction to workflows that regularly involve multiple accounts.
Use cases for having more than five accounts:
- Group management. Developers who own or manage more than five groups often use holder accounts for each group. With the current limit, they cannot keep all their group holder accounts readily accessible.
- Asset uploading on alts. Developers frequently upload images or audio on alternate accounts to avoid a false positive moderation action affecting their main account. Having to remove an existing account from the switcher to add a new one is inefficient.
- Testing and gameplay. Players who use multiple accounts for testing game features or for casual play (including trolling) face the same limitation.
Proposed scope:
If increasing the limit is not feasible, an alternative would be to allow users to log into a different account without removing all existing accounts from the switcher. For example, a “log into a different account” option that temporarily replaces one slot without deleting the saved accounts.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because I could quickly switch between all the accounts I need for group management, asset uploading, and testing without losing access to any of them.
