Invite link : If you and your friend are both age-checked 13+, you can send a Trusted friends invitation link from their profile.

  1. Navigate to the friend’s profile.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu.
  3. Select Add trusted friend.
  4. Select Add via link to share a link off-platform with that friend. Links expire after 30 days.

I Understand That You Can Add Via Link To Share A Link Off Platform With Your Friend,

But It Is Impossible To Do This If The Friend Is Not Off Platform But Only Has Roblox,

Me And My Friend (Diva_AZ) Are Trying To Do Our Best To Upgrade

We Understand That You Cannot Share Invite Links In Party Chat As The Filter Can Filter That Link,

Making It Impossible. And Annoying,

Some Of My Friends Are In The 13-15 Or 16-17 Group, And Some Do Not Have Discord Or Other Platforms,

The Solution

While You Cannot See Some Users Messages In Your Chat If They Are Not In Your Age Group,

They Should Be Allowed To See These Invite links In Party Chat, Not In Game Chat,

This May Help Long Term Friends To Be Trusted Friends To Keep Chatting On Roblox,

Example

User 1: Elisa She Is In The 13-15 Group, Wants To Chat With Her Brother, So To Do That Without Being Off Platform, So She Uses The Invite Links On Party chat, That users who are 13+ age checked (within different age groups like 13-15, 16-17, 18-20, 21+)

User 2: Johnny: He Is In The 18-20 Who Is Elisa’s Brother, So He Would Be Able To See The Invite Link In Party chat,

Once Those 2 Friends Become Trusted Friends But Filters Apply In Game (Globally) Or Party Chat Depending On Region,

If the theoretical Elisa and her brother are trusted connections, don’t you think they would have some sort of real-world contact or access to a platform like Discord? Trusted friends was created for people who know each other in real life communicate more freely with each other. I don’t understand the use of it (aside from nefarious reasons) that these real-life friends can’t send a link on another platform.

Allowing off-site links would open a big pandora’s box. Predators would rejoice.

That Is A Example, Yes, Some Of My Friends Do Not Have Discord Which Is The Problem. So Yes, Forcing The Off Platform To Share A Invite Link To Who Does Not Have Discord Is Really Impossible,

In My Opinion. Trusted Friends Was Created For People Who Have Long Term Friends Or People Who Know Each Other Very Safely Online, Or IRL Can Communicate More Freely, But Standard Filters Apply In Game, Besides, Trusted Friends Help Dev Teams And Friends Too. Under 13s Need Parental Approval For Adding Trusted Friends, And Not All Online Friends Are Predators

Not sure if English is your first language, but you don’t need to capitalize every word.

That is your opinion, but Roblox specifically said it’s for real-life friends or family. They cannot cater to the minority that don’t have contact with their real-life friends or family to introduce links. It is not intended for online-only friends. Roblox is trying to improve its safety standards, this feature request would be a step backwards from Roblox’s goal.

I agree, not all online friends are predators. What happens if little Timmy clicks on a link that reveals his IP address? What if little Timmy is encouraged to download a virus through a link (saying it’s a safe program). What if little Timmy contacts someone on Discord that encourages them to send unsafe images? The risk outweights the benefit. Children and teens have been involved in criminal cases from predators WITHOUT the use of links. Imagine the outrage if they allow off-site links.

It would be nice to have links yea, but it’s not a risk Roblox should be willing to make.
