You’d be just replying to the feedback itself, and wouldn’t be able to obtain any more information than you already have in an ideal implementation.

i mean technically you would be able to ask user for said username but dont tell roblox that

they could just give users the option to be anonymous or not, some people give feedback on my game in quotes and then leave their username at the end of it

That’s the point. Put good reviews and paint your game in a better light. Its not for actual comparison, this ain’t rotten tomatoes.

Obviously if Roblox were to implement this feature request it definitely isn’t going to suddenly deanonymize users posting feedback (if they didn’t expose who made the feedback originally, why would they decide to change that later down the line?). The rest of this feature request excluding that is really good.

I heavily support this feature, besides the point of being able to trash talk back to bad feedback, it would be really great to explain certain things to users that they couldn’t figure out since most actual feedback is due to players simply having 0 patience with learning how the game works without the game babysitting them

Bumping this because I also think the ability to directly respond to feedback would be incredibly helpful for both developers and players. I’ve received a lot of feedback that is either misguided or needs more clarification, and unfortunately there is not currently an avenue for getting that. That being said, I think it would probably be best to keep the player identity anonymous that you are responding to.

Responding is fine but I would want to see something similar to what a typical review is, it’s usually public and so the replies are also public and also can be upvoted and downvoted

RoPlus, an extension i have, executes that perfectly, including a checkbox for anonymity. would be great to have it built-in to the site

Sadly but I think this will never be implemented, as feedback is fully anonymized due to legal reasons, for roblox to implement this, they would have to save user ids together with feedback, and that means more responsibility and also adding auto deletion system on Right of Erase requests (GDPR). Also public feedback would be bad too because children could accidentally send their personal info which would be problem (COPPA), so it’d needs AI moderation, not AI will be hell because there are million of feedback going through (so that will lead false positives or false negatives).
You can report bad feedback like “I hate your game”, but you should just listen to your feedback and make better tutorial (that will not make first session retention worse too). It’s all about balancing. And no matter where you are, you will always get bad feedback, almost always feedback isn’t constructive and you probably have to get used to it.
