Hi there,
Currently, users can only save one avatar configuration, which is applied universally across all games. However, games that enforce R6 often distort avatars designed for R15 — especially those using layered clothing, body scaling, or dynamic bundles. This results in broken or unintended appearances in R6-only games.
I’m suggesting that ROBLOX introduce the ability for users to save and assign separate avatar configurations for R6 and R15. When a game enforces one avatar type, the corresponding saved configuration would be used automatically.
As Roblox continues to support both R6 and R15 for legacy and modern experiences, users deserve tools that respect the visual and technical differences between the two. This feature would bridge the gap between platform flexibility and user control.
The benefits of implementing this for users on the website and intended benefits on the Engine include:
- Auto-Setup tools could load the correct avatar preset based on rig type, reducing errors with blocky bodies or layered clothing.
- Developers could design accessories, animations, and clothing with confidence that users will appear correctly in their intended rig.
- Providing APIs or properties in Studio to access and preview both configurations during development.
Thanks
