Hello there! I have recently been working on this game for 3 months now called “Car Madness”:
A battle-royal car game with your primary objective to be the last one standing using whatever power ups can benefit you the most, grind up tokens and a necessary level to buy crates that reward you with common / rare / legendary skins, customize your car to the fashion you really desire the most and things to do in lobby while waiting for the next round to start.
Despite a small collection of positive reviews about my game and a modest 31 likes, I am convinced that I’m ready to put my effort into the advertising campaign of my game. Its just that before doing so, I’m very wary about the fact that the game could potentially fail if I take the wrong routes and don’t plan everything correctly, as well as being trapped in dept for the amount of robux that I’m looking for to run my advertisements. Which is why I ask, other than advertising on roblox, what’s an alternative to get the game well known without spending robux?
Do I go on a specific discord server to tell them about this game I’ve made? Do I find a group on a social platform and do so there? Please give me your opinions so I can make good choices for the growth of my games economy
If your game has a really unique feature, then people will be interested on Twitter and in discord servers dedicated to sharing creations.
It’s tricky because you’re up against games that are doing the exact same free things as you, plus paying for advertisement and sponsorship.
Some techniques to help your game grow by word of mouth can be to coin a hashtag, and ask people to share things there, like their awesome car customisations or something.
On a similar note, if your game has creative aspects, YouTubers may be interested in playing and creating cool things on there too.
Utilise all of Roblox’s social APIs to reward players for inviting friends to join, and encourage it in game.
You could also create codes that you share on Twitter and Roblox for a free crate in-game.
Create your own YouTube channel and make a series of videos about top tips for playing the game.
The possibilities are endless, but you can use a lot of existing games for inspiration.
