Alternatives to EgoMoose's Photobooth plugin?

I was always excited to use Photobooth made by EgoMoose, but later I frowned at the fact that I have to buy it real money, not to mention it was also region-locked

My purpose of using that plugin is that I wanted to take a screenshot of the model with ParticleEmitters and an invisible background, for a thumbnail. Last time I attempted to use Paint NET with magic wand tool, and other plugins like kill color/background. These would ruin the picture, unfortunately

I even searched through DevForum for threads about the same problem. But only two were found, this and that. And yet sadly, none of these helped with my problem

So, I have to say, are there any alternatives (either plugins or software) to help me render particles for thumbnails?

Unfortunately, I don’t think there are any alternatives at the moment. You could always export the models to blender, export the view as an image, then edit in the particles. EgoMoose’s plugin is probably the easiest method though.
