I will be honestly, if you find a good animator willing to go for that price gatekeep them to hell and back. This is super super low, generally you’d also need to factor in:
Complexity
Type of animation (like cutscenes, custom rigs, normal Roblox character)
Length (but this depends on complexity generally)
any other task an animator may have to do like rigging a custom model.
50 robux isnt much in developer terms, as an animator myself im looking at upwards of 300-1000 depending on complexity, smoothness, and the style. If you’re looking to animate cutscenes prepare to pay above 5000+ in some cases
If you’re going to get an experienced animator they’re likely to be older → they’re likely to ask for higher pay.
Many kids work on roblox & I’m sure you’re also a teen, and with that said, there’s many of talented people who genuinely just want robux to buy a new gamepass, accessories etc. Those are the people you can get away with cheap prices working together. They won’t be reliable or dependable, but, they will be cheap.
Actual professionals? They’re going to want at least minimum wage payments which will be multiple thousands of robux or of course genuine USD for their work.
All in all if you’re younger make friends and you’ll easily find people who’ll work for 50-300 robux, even when I was younger I was really happy to find tasks for 300-700 robux, that money meant a lot back then. Now, it’s literally a waste of time to glance at anything under the dev-ex rate of 30k robux.
You should charge at least minimum wage or more unless youre a hobbyist. Developers on this platform that would hire you are also usually hobbyists in grade school, so probably don’t treat it as a super professional job if you’re trying to get paid in robux.
The price depends a lot on where the animator is from and how much that Robux converts into real currency.
The main issue is that a lot of people inflated animation prices way beyond reality. For simple game animations (reload, shoot, inspect, equip, idle), you’re not outsourcing Pixar - you’re asking for 2–5 second loops.
If you provide the rig, the job is straightforward, especially with Blender tools that clean things up automatically. Pretty much anyone can learn decent animation skills in a week if they put in effort into learning; that’s the easiest specialization to get into on Roblox, in my opinion.
For reference, a full gun animation set going for 400–1k Robux is reasonable in my opinion. 50 Robux per animation is low, but it depends. If it’s a simple equip animation, then it’s a totally fair price if the workload is tiny and you’re being transparent about expectations.
realistically any skilled developer, especially one with connections and a strong track record will charge anywhere from 50-100+ usd per animation. anyone charging less is either blissfully unaware of how much money flows through roblox, or new to animating.
