I’m wondering how much Robux is the optimal amount to get traction on a game. Is it 20k over 1 week or 2 weeks, stuff like that.
I spent 15K on ads last time, with 2 different campaigns each being 3 days, from Friday to Sunday. Each was 7,500 robux.
From that I only gained 2,000 robux back, and the game died instantly after the ads ended, and I had around 4,000 visits from that. Keep in mind that my game wasn’t bad, it was when the mall and backrooms drifters games were popular. I was around the 4th person to create one of those games. I spoke with the developers of these popular games, and got their opinions on my game and my ad settings. It was all perfect and my stats were all green, yet it still flopped.
Yet now I’m worried if I spent 17k on ads on my NEW game, that I will just lose it all. Should I do like 17k over 2 weeks? Or 9K and 8K over 1 week each?
I believe 70k is considered the “sweetspot” for advertising, if you search up 70k in the search bar it yields a lot of consistent results from other developers.
I know people who have successfully created games with 200+ CCU with less than 1 ad credit, so there’s not really a certain amount you should spend to find success
One of them hit 60k visits, whilst the other hit 630k visits. The first game was a low effort tower game, whilst the second was a project I spent multiple months on. To be completely honest, as long as your game is enjoyable and competes with the current trends (and keeps green stats), it should do reasonably well. Don’t stress too much about how much money is going in, imo using the sponsoring system is more like a “trial” to see where players leave + what metrics need to be worked on, before the algorithm gives it a chance.
If you’re short for robux/money, it might be worthwhile looking into advertising via other means, such as YouTube or Tiktok. Those are free!
Well I feel like my game is very well polished, I’ve actually worked hard on it and it is a factory tycoon game, where you place down extractors and polish ores to build up your factory. It’s a plot building system and I feel like it’s all good, but I’m worried it’s just missing something in the beginning.
I’ve had about 10 people play it so far and they all loved it and played by themselves for like 30 minutes, most of the times 20 minutes. Also, I made some devlogs on it, and everyone liked those.
