An Update on Automated Action Against Modified Clients

This update is punishing, not preventing. Anyone can still cheat, they will just get banned.

I don’t think they are getting banned, atleast to the levels the player base is hoping for, best case scenario they would be poison banned/ enforcement banned so they can’t create more accounts and can’t use alts.

Whitelist for those without edit, i dont want to give some people edit but allow them to exploit to test, mainly so alts can be used

My games have an admin panel and other menus for devs only that would get in the way of mimicing if i was someone with a menu

I know Sober doesn’t modify the client in any way, but is it officially certified that it doesn’t trigger bans or terminations when used? It has only been mentioned that it isn’t promised that it will remain supported, but nothing about whether it triggers false positives.

Sober is unsupported, meaning we don’t check if it breaks or triggers generic detection, nor will we write Sober-specific code to distinguish generic detection caused by Sober from non-Sober generic detection.

I think a lot of people are going to be switching to Linux in Q4 2025 and in 2026.

i used to think this but realistically? my family used XP until the computer got retired in 2019 - 5 years post EOL - since everything still worked fine

Yeah, a game can have some unsupported OSes like linux but, Roshade, Yeah Roshade, why did it get banned even tho it does not change the clients binary, why is “uncompatible” now?

hi where is this automated action? i had my entire team wiped out from a singular exploiter flinging everyone. two exploiters joined in a span of one game.

Happens within 2-3 days per exploiter thinking that they are actually doing something the exploiters already slowly figuring out how to bypass all of their hard work and if they speed up the ban times it allows the exploiter to figure out their entire anti cheat and bypass it even sooner so they are just playing cat and mouse and once the cat gets tired enough the mouse will take the win
