I started making Angels Fifteen the very end of July; I’m about 2.5 months into development with the game. It’s essentially a reboot of my game Perilous Skies, but implementing tons of new features that ROBLOX has added over the last 5 years (I made Perilous Skies in 2009).
Anyway, I just wanted to share it since I’ve had a ton of fun so far making it. Please let me know what you think! Constructive criticism would be appreciated
The upgrades kind of ruin the opening game experience for newer players. Any experienced player that can exploit the unfair advantages of these upgrades to completely dominate the server turns away a lot of potential players, especially with the issues of spawnkilling or just superior missiles in general that give no chance of fighting back.
“Muhahaha they don’t stand a chance against me! Really? 1 vs 4? I feel bad for them!”
On a more helpful note, it does seem a little too much of an advantage for people who have played longer, it kind of takes too much of the skill out of the equation.
This game is probably the best new ROBLOX game I’ve seen in a good while.
A few things (very very minor) that could be improved is when hitting the water, you kind of just… stop… Feels a bit weird. Also, finding enemy planes can be difficult sometimes, even with the boxes, not sure if this was intentional.

Have pity on a poor newb. :X
Fun game, but I did keep spawning into a flurry of missiles.
That actually brings up a good issue in the game. I need to 1) spawn players away from the battle at first, and 2) Put the player in some sort of “safe” indestructible mode for a few seconds once spawned. It’s pretty annoying to spawn and instantly have missiles flying toward you!

The amount of time you set in Perilous Skies seemed to work well, the only problem there was you knew where people will spawn. (Not sure how it works in Angels Fifteen, my Roblox is still broken.) So as long as you have at least slightly randomized where people spawn I think the PS safe zone time would work well.
“Ok, lets try this”
"‘Missile Incoming!’ Ok, what do I do, what do I do, I’ll try to do a roll downa nd left to dod-"BOOM
“Lets try again”
"Another Missile? Maybe if I cut the throttle-"STALL BOOM
“ANOTHER Missile? Accelerate and pull up?”-BOOM
“These planes are slippery”-CRASHINTOMOUNTAIN
“Screw this.”
tl;dr for how I’ll always feel playing this game after lots of time on War Thunder, no matter how awesome the game becomes: I don’t like using Missiles over machine guns
Yeah, I’m currently working on adding both flares and guns. It’s going to take a long time to code both into the system probably. Right now I’m working on making them upgradable features, then I’ll make them functional.
On topic:
Something that is buggy is if you do upgrades, the bars for the planes do not change to the upgrades.
Yeah, that’s tricky because those stats are compiled by the server when the game starts up based on the default stats of the planes compared to each other. I still haven’t worked in a way to change those stat figures based on per-player upgrades. It’s on the to-do list though.
