I made this utilizing the new UiDragDetectors, they’re still a tad bit wonky so I had to add rectification code to adjust when errors do occur, but I used this to map the position of the dragger to a % value, i connected a tick sound for everytime the % is updated, etc. thoughts?
The file is corrupted. Upload a new video.
very cool, i can already see alot of potential awesomeness out of this
and the tick sound… its perfect. I’d probably just move the slider around listening to the sound nonstop lol
This animated volume slider looks great! I like how it looks! Great job on it! How long did it take to make it?
man i hate when that happens, can you see it now?
I can’t either, and downloading doesn’t work. Would a GIF do enough justice for the animation?
Nope. It just gives me random artifacts and such.
Ok I updated it, I linked a youtube video instead of the video file
You should be able to view it, kind of sucks that I was having such a problem with it loading when it’s not an impressive showcase in the slightest, lot of effort for nothing really
I think it looks great, the little clicks when the value changes, and the icon changing based on the value definitely adds to the UX. Since it’s a volume slider, however, I’d expect the icon to act as a mute toggle too. Definitely great work though.
Does clicking anywhere on the slider snap the handle to that position, or do you have to be dragging the handle? I’m not sure which I’d prefer in general, however having to be dragging the handle to change the value feels like effort, but being able to click anywhere would suck if I happened to misclick.
The being able to click anywhere is something I could easily program, but just haven’t thought about, i also was running off no sleep when I was programming this so I didn’t have the energy to put into that even if i thought about it, but it’s a good suggestion i’d likely look into
Yep, now I can see it. It looks really cool!
