Hey all, I’m looking to animate some bandages. I’m wondering how I would start the animation so it appeared that the bandages were actually wrapping around the arm, rather than starting with the arm wrapped in bandages and just miming it. Any suggestions? I’ve thought about using a beam that pivoted on multiple attachments but I’m not sure if that would work.
Maybe when the animation starts the bandages transparency to 0 to 1?
Ah, that’s a good idea, I could segment the bandages and kind of make it look like they were being wrapped by changing transparency of the segments.
Yeah are you trying to make a FPS game?
Something of the sort, I really like Squad, so it’d be similar I imagine. More of a pet project rather than any like real full game.
What about a beam for the arm connection and as it passes over the parts on the arm become visable, that way its connected to the arm so if theres lag it doesnt look like its making itself, Id also say mesh deformation but that might be a bit harder and I like to suggest the easiest things
Ooo! I like that one, that’s a great idea. I’ll give it a shot implementing it and get back to y’all!
